We are innovating to develop the breakthroughs necessary to support tomorrow’s growth including more sustainable products to help meet the world’s greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction goals.In this role as a Senior Engineering Manager, located in either Peoria, IL or Tucson, AZ, you will report to the Vice President of Engineering and will be primarily responsible for leading and inspiring teams to ensure our Electrification products meet industry safety, regulatory and product design expectations and requirements. As a member of the Engineering team, you will need to have a growth mindset, promote continuous improvement, and help build a defect-free culture. Champion our safety driven strategy by focusing on preventing serious injuries, learning and improving, and demonstrating care.

Create and maintain Pro-Active reliability processes to design, develop and validate components, systems, products, services, and technologies.

Continue a culture that encourages innovation, partnering and collaborative relationships, while delivering a consistent customer experience in the application of critical safety features with electrification technology.

Develop partnerships within Caterpillar and with dealers and customers.

Integrate products and services to meet customers’ needs; and providing leadership to the organization and coaching others.

Accountable for protecting Caterpillar’s intellectual property by properly classifying and restricting access to Caterpillar technical information related to their area of responsibility.
