Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are offering a contract-to-hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in Tempe, Arizona. This role involves meticulous record-keeping and the processing of customer credit applications. Working closely with the finance team, the successful candidate will also be tasked with the efficient maintenance of customer files and the resolution of customer discrepancies.Responsibilities: Process customer credit applications accurately and in a timely manner Maintain up-to-date records of customer credit applications Collaborate with finance staff to reconcile Accounts Receivable on a regular basis Address and resolve customer inquiries related to credit applications Monitor customer credit accounts and take necessary action to collect overdue payments Maintain and update customer files, including changes in name, address, mergers, or mailing attentions Prepare and post customer payments and transactions related to Accounts Receivable Prepare and submit invoices to customers in line with company practices Create reports on the current status of customer accounts Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Accounts Receivable Manager and other staff members. Requirements Proficiency in Cash Applications Experienced in Collections - Commercial Knowledge in Accounts Receivable (AR) Strong numerical and analytical skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information Good communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Proven track record of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated understanding of financial concepts and principles Experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
