Job description
Part Time School Bus Driver
Abundant Transportation is seeking School Bus Drivers. Our drivers operate our buses along assigned routes to pick up and drop off students at designated bus stops and schools. There are also opportunities to work more hours for field trips and special events.

Essential Functions School Bus Driver:
Drive a bus along routes and special activity trips. Pick-up and drop-off students at designated bus stops and schools
Inspect buses for safety and proper operation.
Fuel buses.
Monitor and assist with maintaining the behavior, safety, and medical needs of students on the school bus.
Clean and sterilize buses.
Communicate regularly with parents, supervisors, school staff, co-workers, and students.
Complete all required paperwork to include route changes, mileage reports, and student counts.
Support the relationship between our school clients and the public by demonstrating courteous and professional behavior when interacting with students, parents, visitors, and school staff; maintain absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, client records, and school information; follow Governing Board Policies; perform all other related duties as required or assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
Possess a Commercial Driver’s License, Class ‘B’ or 'A' with a ‘P’ and 'S' endorsement, as well as an Arizona School Bus Driver's Certificate (training and help with application for this is available)
IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge of mechanical aspects of school buses and fleet maintenance
Knowledge of school bus routing and scheduling
NOTE: Employer may waive or amend the above qualifications, as it deems appropriate.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 2.5 hour AM pick up and 2.5 hour PM drop off
Supplemental pay types:
Bonus opportunities: $500 end of school year bonus, $250 quarterly bonus
Field trips: Additional hours
Education:
High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
School Bus Route driving: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
CDL B or A (Required)
Arizona Driver's License (Required)
