Busy independent automotive repair shop seeks flexible assistant manager. Prefer some experience but we will train as well if you have experience in auto mechanics or G.S. ( general service ) lube tech experience or possibly even car wash counter Must have some good basic knowledge of cars / trucks and be a fast learner and adaptable. We are open to a man or a woman for this position. We are open to a younger individual with minimal experience who wants to make a career in this field and is serious about putting in the effort to learn it, even if that means studying at home after hours by watching videos online.
5 day work week, closed sundays. Most Saturdays are required but you can schedule some Saturdays off as needed. 8am to 6pm hours but be open to coming in at 7:30am sometimes.
Qualities you need to have:
Be very punctual and super reliable
Be able to smile, be friendly and engage with all customers
Be computer literate and able to spell correctly
Be drug free and open to a drug test ( weed ok )
Don't have a prior felony (we do background checks)
Be able to direct work to techs
Be able to take directives from higher ups and do them.
Be open to taking charge and run the facility occasionally once experienced
Be able to multi task, handle multiple phone lines at once as well as customers at the counter
Have good attention to detail! This is a must, especially on paperwork
Be ready and able to adapt to our ways of doing things
Be a quick thinker when put on the spot
Be a positive and motivated individual
Be able to handle a fast paced, busy environment with occasional slow times
Non smoker preferred
