We continue to grow and are looking for a new Plumbing Counter Sales/Warehouse Associate for our Apache Junction, AZ branch (this position is located on-site in the branch, it’s not a remote or hybrid position). This position is responsible for increasing sales and customer satisfaction by efficiently and courteously assisting walk-in and telephone customers in the selection and acquisition of the products needed. As a trusted advisor, you actively contribute to the company's sales success in a professionally deliberate and quantifiable manner.
Responsibilities
Service customers at the counter by taking orders and entering them into the system accurately
Follow company pricing, credit, and payment guidelines
Retrieve orders from warehouse quickly and accurately
Increase sales, promote, and sell overages, damaged and discontinued items
Handle customer complaints and returns, while showing a positive attitude
Assist in scheduled physical inventory counts
Warehouse and other duties as assigned
Maintain open orders, following the order through to completion
Requirements
Has superior customer service & organizational skills as well as a positive and professional attitude
Able to handle difficult customers with diplomacy and tact
Understands basic inventory, warehousing, and stocking procedures
Able to stand/walk for duration of work hours as well as lift/carry/maneuver materials or equipment up to 75lbs
High school diploma/GED required
Capable of performing business math
Minimum 2 years working in similar position (preferably at a plumbing supply company)
