Production -Sheet Metal - Welder

K-2 MFG specializes in precision sheet metal fabrication. We are looking for a positive self-motivated individual that can easily adapt to a fast paced and dynamic environment.

We have a precision welder position available now.

Qualifications:

1. AWS Certified (preferred)

2. TIG & MIG welding of Stainless, Aluminum and Steel.

3. At least 3 years of precision sheet metal welding experience.

4. Can setup and weld consistent structural or cosmetic welds.

5. Understand welding symbols, drawings and welding specifications

6. Can hold tolerances of +/-.015" if required.

Responsibilities:

1. Setup fixtures and weld tight tolerance jobs.

2. Maintain machine and welding consumables

Welding precision sheet metal and can hold +/-.015 tolerances: 2 years

Job Description:

Ø Welds metal components together using MIG or TIG Welding methods using a variety of arc and gas welding equipment to fabricate or repair products.

Ø Review print and router to ensure material received for job is correct.

Ø Check router and prints for accuracy of parts.

Ø Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.

Ø Performs related tasks such as grinding.

Ø Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and increases size of metal parts.

Ø Complete purchase requisitions for area and submit to office for procurement.

Ø Responsible for maintenance and cleanness of welders.

Ø Fill out applicable router operation completely and accurately.

Ø Train co-workers as necessary to ensure a positive workflow.

Ø Performs set-up inspections, first piece inspections as well as all subsequent inspections as required by AS9100 standards.

Ø Work with Production Supervisor and Safety Manager to ensure the safety of welding area.

Ø Clock in and out of time clock on each operation.

Ø Follow production schedule unless otherwise requested.

Ø Responsible for the general cleaning and area organization on a daily basis.

Ø Hours are Monday through Friday 6:00a.m. to 2:30p.m. Overtime as requested.
