SteelCrest Corporation is currently looking for a dependable Powder Coating Technician, with paint line experience (preferred), to join our team.
The Powder Coating Technician position is a production role responsible for preparing surfaces for painting and spraying manufactured parts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be dependable
- Prepping parts for coating, which includes washing, sanding, drilling and hanging parts
- Setup and operate various types of spray guns, pressure guns, and other spraying equipment
- Setup spraying equipment by selecting proper nozzle and adjusting to insure uniform surface covering
- Inspection of all completed work and correction of any defects
- Disassembles and cleans all spaying equipment; maintains paint room in a clean and orderly manner
- Demonstrate excellent quality, production, teamwork and safety awareness
- Other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure
manuals
- Follow written and/or verbal instruction; read, write, speak and comprehend English
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and
decimals

EDUCATION:
- High School or equivalent (preferred)
EXPERIENCE:
- Manufacturing 1 year (preferred)
- Experience using powder coating equipment 1 year (preferred)
- Experience using pretreatment/wash system 1 year (preferred)
