JOB TITLE: Quality Technician
DEPARTMENT: Quality
Pay Range: $17-$20 an hour
Schedule: 4am-2:30pm (Monday-Thursday/Sometimes Friday)
Position Summary:
The Quality Technician is responsible for verifying that processes and manufacturing instructions are followed to ensure that products meet customer specifications and quality standards. This role involves executing established quality procedures, performing inspections, collecting, and analyzing data, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
-Verify that all finished products meet quality and specification requirements.
-Conduct daily inspections of in-process materials; accurately record data using computer systems.
-Perform inspections on incoming products to ensure compliance with specifications.
-Promptly notify the Quality Lead of any non-conformances or quality concerns.
-Assist with special projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.
-Complete and manage Hold and Rework tags in accordance with procedures.
Qualifications:
-1–3 years of experience as a Quality Technician (Tech 1 or equivalent).
-Working knowledge of measurement techniques (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
-Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems.
-Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
-Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and technical drawings.
-Effective verbal and written communication skills.
-Ability to train others in inspection techniques and processes.
-Experience operating inspection equipment such as Raytech (or equivalent).
-Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Self-motivated, organized, and enthusiastic with a commitment to quality.
Physical Requirements:
-Ability to stand for extended periods.
-Minimal lifting required.
-Ability to work at a computer for prolonged durations.
