Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour (Depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
(Summer hours may shift to 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM or 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM to avoid peak heat)

About the Role:
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Residential Facilities Technician to maintain the grounds and pools at our residential group homes across the Phoenix metro area. This position combines landscaping, pool care, and occasional light home maintenance. You’ll work primarily on your own, but may occasionally assist or coordinate with our maintenance team.
Because these are group homes for individuals with developmental disabilities, candidates must be comfortable with occasional, friendly interactions with residents.
Primary Focus:
This position will be primarily responsible for general landscape cleanup, pool maintenance, tree and shrub pruning, maintaining irrigation systems, and debris removal. Responsibilities may also include basic maintenance skills for the group homes, including patching holes, light plumbing work, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Landscaping & Grounds Maintenance:
Operate lawn maintenance equipment, such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, weed eaters, chain saws, electric clippers, and pruning saws.
Maintain existing landscaping design and ensure plant survival.
Mow grass, blow out leaves/debris, spray/remove weeds, and remove litter.
Prune & trim trees, shrubs, and bushes to remove dead/damaged branches, improve shape, and promote healthy growth. Plant bushes, shrubs, small trees, and other vegetation as needed.
Maintain and repair irrigation systems, including drip systems; set timers and install new components as needed.
Inspect properties to ensure there are no safety hazards, litter, or debris.
Maintain tools and equipment to ensure safe operation.
Understand safe work practices in all circumstances and report any equipment in need of repair.
Pool Care & Maintenance:
Skim leaves, insects, and debris from pool surfaces; vacuum pool floors.
Brush pool walls, steps, and tile lines to prevent algae and scale buildup.
Test water chemistry (chlorine, pH, alkalinity, stabilizer, calcium hardness) using test kits.
Adjust chemical levels to meet safe and compliant water quality standards.
Inspect, clean, and backwash pool filters.
Check pumps, motors, heaters, and other pool equipment for proper operation.
Lubricate O-rings, replace worn seals, and perform minor equipment repairs.
Monitor water levels and refill pools as necessary.
Maintain accurate service logs for each pool, noting chemical readings, adjustments, and maintenance performed.
Identify and report any major mechanical or structural issues to the supervisor.
Requirements:
Arizona driver’s license with a clean 39-month MVR.
Reliable transportation to work.
Ability to drive a work truck with landscape equipment trailer.
Must pass a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card background check.
Verifiable professional references for landscaping/maintenance experience.
Able to frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
Able to understand and follow written & verbal instructions.
Able to respond appropriately to supervisors and coworkers.
Must be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods due to the nature of working with/around hazardous equipment.
Comfortable working in and around various plants, with exposure to dust, noise, and Arizona heat.
