The maintenance technician is responsible for minimizing downtime on the production machinery. They must possess great troubleshooting skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail. 3 years' experience working with injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment is desired.
Major Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
Minimize unplanned downtime through preventive maintenance practices.
Manage new projects like installing hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical systems.
Create preventive maintenance programs as required.
Do daily/weekly/monthly/yearly PMs on-time without supervision.
Respond to unplanned downtime with urgency.
Requirements:
Must be proficient in electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting.
Must have a minimum of three years electrical experience.
Must have experience with hydraulic troubleshooting and large hydraulic components.
Must be able to read and understand electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic, blueprints.
Must be flexible and responsive with changing priorities. This includes working additional shifts and overtime from time to time.
Must be able to safely operate basic tools like drills, saws, torches, welding equipment, etc
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must be able to work on hot machinery.
Must follow safety practices within company.
