As a Battery Technician in a manufacturing environment, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our forklift fleet by maintaining and repairing batteries and chargers.
Essential Duties:
Inspection and Maintenance: Regularly inspecting batteries and chargers for any signs of wear, damage, or malfunction, and performing preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnosing issues with batteries and chargers, such as low power output or charging problems, and implementing effective repair solutions to minimize downtime.
Battery Testing and Monitoring: Conducting routine testing of batteries to assess their capacity, voltage, and overall health, and implementing proper charging procedures to maximize efficiency and lifespan.
Record-Keeping and Reporting: Maintaining detailed records of battery maintenance and repair activities, as well as generating reports on equipment performance and recommending improvements to enhance productivity and safety.
Collaboration: Working closely with other maintenance technicians and manufacturing personnel to coordinate equipment servicing schedules and address any urgent repair needs to support uninterrupted operations.
