Reports to: Facilities Manager
Hours: 15-30 Hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
This is a part-time, hourly position. Provide accessible transportation to varied services offered by Ability360 departments. Provide routine maintenance at the Ability360 Center and the Sports & Fitness Center, other duties assigned as needed.
Van Driver
Provide direct transportation services to Ability360 consumers, volunteers, and board
members in Ability360 vehicles.
Assist agency staff in performance of tasks related to the provision of transportation
services to consumers.
Ensure that preventative maintenance is completed on the agency vehicle and purchase
fuel as needed.
Safely and carefully escort, assist and secure consumers into and out of Ability360 vehicle.
Collect and evaluate information pertaining to the use of the vehicle.
Ensure the vehicle is locked and parked in appropriate parking space.
Exercise good judgment and perform within local, state, and federal guidelines established
for the operation of a vehicle.
Building Maintenance Assistant
Perform minor Maintenance and repairs, change air filters, lights, etc. at Ability360
properties.
Assist Building Maintenance Engineers by completing assigned work orders.
Move and assemble furniture as needed including modular furniture.
Pick up wheelchairs and durable medical equipment for the Loan Closet.
Deliver office equipment and/or heavy filing cabinets, etc to Ability360 offices.
Set up tables and chairs for meetings in the conference center or other meeting spaces.
Other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Provide regular, reliable performance.
Knowledge in the safe and proper use of the following: ladders, lifts, basic hand tools, basic
power tools, safety goggles, hearing protection, and fire extinguisher.
Able to read, write, speak and comprehend English effectively to understand written and verbal
instructions
Able to safely lift 75 pounds.
Able to safely lift and carry 45 pounds
Safely climb a ladder
Standing up to 40% of the time
Sitting / driving up to 60% of the time

Safely operating machinery, including power tools, scissor lift, and automobile

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Experience in light maintenance and small repairs
Skill in interpersonal relationships as applied to interaction with consumers, staff, tenants, and
the general public
Ability to communicate effectively and work independently
Knowledge and experience transporting persons with disabilities in a similar type vehicle,
including operating a wheelchair lift and wheelchair securing system
Knowledge of the Phoenix metropolitan area and be able to read and follow maps
Must demonstrate good knowledge of agency’s policies and procedures related to the
operation of vehicles, and general knowledge in the area of vehicle maintenance.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Driver must possess and keep a current Arizona driver license. He / she must have and
maintain a clean driving record, free from citations and points. Driver will provide Ability360
with a current Motor Vehicle Record and continue to provide annual updates of such record.

HOURS
Typical hours are Monday – Friday 10 to 3; however the work schedule may vary at times
depending on events and activities requiring flexibility in hours worked, including some evening
and weekend work. For example if there is an event in the conference on Saturday the
schedule that week will most likely be Tuesday through Saturday instead of Monday through
Friday. Please only apply if you can fulfill the time requirements.
Supervisory Responsibility: N/A
Working Conditions: Pressures and stress of the position include dealing with possible crisis
situations, meeting transportation and set up deadlines and supporting a wide variety of participant
and staff needs. Work is performed in a highly visible, busy environment, with a large volume of public
contact and disruptions.
