Arizona Microgreens, an urban greenhouse farm located in Phoenix, is hiring a full-time employee for greenhouse operations and farmers’ market sales.
This is a hands-on position working with plants from seed to harvest during the week and farmers’ markets on the weekend. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to understand every aspect of a successful urban agriculture operation. Candidates must be comfortable with early morning shifts as well as working on their feet in a fast-paced environment. This position is scheduled for Tuesday through Saturday, with days off being Sunday and Monday.
Preference will be given to applicants who have experience working in a fast-paced, team environment and who thrive doing hands-on work. Here are some of the top qualities we are looking for:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require long periods of standing or bending
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- The ability to perform basic math calculations
We are looking to hire someone who is committed to living in Phoenix and working with us for a minimum of 1-2 years.
Please note: US employment authorization is required. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds for this position. Employees must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record so that they can drive the company vehicle as needed.
