Upcoming Craft Cocktail bar is hiring an experienced Bar Manager

The Bar Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight of day-to-day bar operations and also play a key role in driving and crafting the creative direction of this concept. . You will provide visible leadership to employees while generating an atmosphere focused on great hospitality where the expectations of the guests are always exceeded. You will help develop key employees, implement standards and procedures, provide quality training, and develop talent. This unique role reports to Pour Therapy's owner. There could be a partnership opportunity for the right person. Potential to add more benefits like medical, dental and 401k matching once we are up and running

Pour Therapy is a craft cocktail bar and restaurant located in the heart of downtown Casa Grande. We pride ourselves in offering a unique New American food menu paired with handcrafted cocktails each made from fresh high-quality ingredients and innovative flavor combinations. We aim to provide an exceptional and unique dining experience for our patrons. We also serve wine, beer, and spirits with whiskey and tequila being the focus of the spirits. Pour Therapy is not intended to be extremely casual nor overly formal, but rather, will be a restaurant where foodies and cocktail-oriented locals and visitors can enjoy interesting and well-prepared food and cocktails. Responsibilities:

Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and coach employees; address complaints and problem solve.

Develop a selection and pricing strategy for all liquors, beer and wines, and manage their procurement.

Monitor budgets in all areas of cost control with consistent focus on cost of inventory, sales, and payroll.

Increase level of guest happiness by delivery of an outstanding product and service

Direct the daily activities and assignments of staff, ensure appropriate coverage, develop, and communicate departmental strategies and goals, and assign/prioritize work.

Develop and maintain a cocktail menu and beverage program that reflects our commitment to creativity and innovation while also managing costs and profitability.

Development of an annual marketing plan to penetrate new sales opportunities and maximize use within existing markets.

Ensure you and your team uphold company values, abide by company policies, procedures and promote a safe, positive work environment at all times.

Ensure you and your team follow all required safety and standard operating procedures.

Generate “industry” business to increase late night sales.

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-volume craft cocktail bar environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/management role.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in food and beverage management is preferred but not required.

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness Certifications (if applicable)

Excellent skills in budgeting, projection, cost control, expense management, inventory, payroll, labor costing, staffing, marketing, owner relations, PL management

Able to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people while exhibiting a consistent level of integrity.

Able to interpret a variety of instructions and regularly exercise independent judgement and discretion about matters of significance.

Broad knowledge of classic cocktails, craft cocktails, non-alcoholic cocktails, spirits, beer, whiskey, tequila and wine with a focus on creative and innovative techniques and ingredients.

Additional experience working with different point-of-sale, payroll, inventory, ordering, costing and reservation systems is required.
