Leads small teams of information security experts.How will you make an impact in this role?American Express is on an exciting multi cloud transformation journey driven today by a successful, high-energy, delivery-focused team that enables our vision of “security-as-code.” The Cloud Security organization partners with a diverse set of teams and tools to ensure public cloud security equivalency with on-premises security capabilities, methods, and processes for all cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and workloads. The Sr. Information Security Analyst – Cloud Security Strategy and Governance will be an integral member of the Cloud Security Strategy and Governance team, working cross-functionally to consistently manage and communicate security milestones, governance, and finance across public and private cloud initiatives. This role will report directly to the Director of Cloud Security Strategy & Governance and will work closely with internal team members, Information Security domain teams, and Enterprise Cloud teams to deliver security solutions to support enterprise goals. This role will aim to support a variety of objectives and initiatives while maintaining clear prioritization across these teams. This position demands a well-organized, action-oriented team player with the ability to prioritize daily work and the ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously, to establish and maintain an outward looking view on new and evolving technologies; and an ability to mature and operate business critical, end-to-end processes and solutions. The ability to self-manage, drive and deliver end-to-end process and solutions focused on great user experiences and strong interpersonal communications skills are required.Responsibilities Include:

Lead Program Management functions to drive delivery of centralized cloud security reporting, governance, and finance functions

Establish strong communications across the agile teams, stakeholders and leadership

Closely collaborate across multiple organizations and business partners, to include Enterprise Cloud, Technology Risk and Information security (TRIS), and others to drive prioritization of cloud initiatives

Effectively maintain updates and communication with TRIS leadership partners

Partner in external and internal audits, ensuring overall adherence to policies and standards, driving the highest level of compliance through response, remediation and escalation as necessary

Help to drive and refine cloud security budget and finance forecasting for public cloud consumption of security tools

Capture requirements; build functional specifications, timelines, adoption plans and other artifacts to support security implementation.

Partner with and support the Engineering team to drive and execute enterprise goals in a timely manner.

Provide guidance and support to team members and colleagues as needs arise

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience with Cloud Control Matrix and CIS benchmarks for gap assessment

Broad understanding of IS disciplines including, Governance, Cyber Threat, Identity and Access, Infrastructure, Endpoint, Vulnerability, Data Protection, Operations, Application, Incident Response.

Understanding of Cloud Fundamentals, including containers, software-defined networks, high availability design, multi-cloud, and serverless compute.

Demonstrated experience in Agile environments, application design, software development, and/or testing.

Self-started with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience developing and delivering timely and effective reporting metrics across multiple teams

Ability to collaborate effectively, work closely within a coordinated team environment, and maintain composure while dealing with time sensitive deadlines

Demonstrated experience in leading and managing projects in a rapidly changing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

5 years of experience in Information Security Roles

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience

Information Security Certification preferred, CISM or similar.
