It employs a ground-breaking focus with development responsibilities for customer-facing capabilities that deepen and expand digital engagement, as well as core technical capabilities that cut across business lines and customer segments.In the U.S. Consumer Services and Enterprise Digital & Data Technology Team the Global Email Marketing (GEM) team is responsible for processing email campaigns and delivering the emails to the Card Members. Some of the core features of this product include filtering Card Members for Campaigns due items such as Cancelled Card, Global Opt-out, Granular Opt-out. Applying communication suppression for things like natural disasters. Delivery of user data to downstream email systems.From building next-generation apps and microservices in Kotlin to using AI to help protect our customers from fraud, you could be doing transformational work that brings our iconic, global brand into the future. Deliver technical solutions to problems identified.

Drive the resolution of problems by identifying the root cause and implementing code fixes.

Analyze the existing technology environment and, to develop technical recommendations to improve system/application performance and lead improvement implementation.

Provide post-implementation production support for processes.

Write code across frontend (React) and backend (Java/JavaScript) applications.

Write unit and regression tests.

Actively participate in design discussions (technical as well as UI).

Communicate across teams.

Required Qualifications:

 6 years of software development experience.

 Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.

Strong design and programming skills in Java or JavaScript.

Experience with RESTful services.

Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD), Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and unit testing.

Experience in Microservice architecture.

Hands on experience in building REST APIs

Experience in Java, Spring/Spring boot

Experience in big data technologies

Experience in developing, hosting solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and leveraging GCP services for specific feature implementations

Familiar with GIT.

Familiar with agile concepts.

Willingness to work across teams.

Ability to effectively interpret technical and business objectives.

Willingness to learn about new technologies.

Strong problem-solving/debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience with Postgres and Hibernate.

Experience with Redis.

UI/UX design skills.

QualificationsSalary Range: $85,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually bonus benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
