Full Charge Bookkeeper Needed - Part Time

This position is for a part-time (25-30 hours per week) full charge bookkeeper to handle all the accounting for 11 self-storage facilities, 1 car wash and 1 management company using Accrual Based Accounting with Quickbooks software. This position is not for an A/P or A/R Clerk. Since this position is part time, the days of the week the employee works are flexible and the hours are also flexible. We can accommodate a candidate that needs to come in at 9:00 am and leave at 2:30 pm in order to take care of small children at home. Once a schedule has been set, we would expect the candidate to adhere to that schedule. The flexible schedule selected would need to ensure that candidate spends a minimum of 25 hours per week at the office.

Financial

Pull all Management Summary Reports daily

Enter daily deposits and transactions, usually 5-6 line journal entry

Set up accruals for various expenses and monitor to ensure accuracy over time

Set up and monitor bonuses for full time managers on a monthly basis

Complete monthly financial statements and performing the bookkeeping throughout the month to be able to complete and file the statements

Complete year-end financial statements

Cut and mail distribution checks and letters to investors on a quarterly basis

Taxes/Inspections/Licenses

File/submit sales taxes to AZ & OK Department of Revenue

File/submit employment taxes to AZ & OK Department of Revenue for all employees

Keep track of annual inspections and licenses that need to be renewed

Employment

Collect and submit Forms A-4, W-4 and I-9 for new employees

Collect time sheets from employees and arrange for bimonthly payments

Prepare year end W2 forms for all employees

Handle any banking issues that arise with managers

Banking/Billing

Reconcile all bank accounts every other day and bank statements monthly

Set up autopay for mortgage, phone and utility bills when new facility acquired

Submit payments to vendors for work completed

Reconcile petty cash accounts and submit replenishment to managers

General Office

Answer phones

Light Filing

Take calls from self-storage managers

Must also be proficient with Word and Excel

Strong knowledge of accrual based accounting, payroll processing and tax reporting is a must
