Local restoration/ general contractor hiring Bookkeeper.

This is a unique opportunity for a person with the right aptitudes and interests to learn, from the ground up, all the processes associated with bookkeeping and accounting management in a quickly-growing, very busy construction company.

Responsibilities/Duties including, but limited to:

FIRST AND FOREMOST: there will be a ton of books clean up. Candidate MUST be acutely adept at reconciling old book and maintenance. THERE are several years of clean up project!

MS Office Suites/QuickBooks experience

Monthly Bank reconciliation / Generate periodic financial reports for owners

Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable

Payroll preparation and reporting (including quarterlies) /

Tax Reporting (TPT)

Job Cost Accounting

Prepare Work Comp audits

Prepare financials for annual taxes / direct CPA interface

Requirements for Consideration

Minimum 5 years working knowledge/experience as a Bookkeeper or similar position

At least 6 months experience in customer service

Present and punctual, as the position is hourly and we do not allow telecommuting

Detail and accuracy oriented (very important!)

Positive, professional demeanor and absolutely drug and drama-free

The following will take preferential consideration:

Bi-lingual (Spanish-English)

Restoration/construction or similar industry experience
