Summary:The Events Coordinator position at Desert Diamond Arena serves as a liaison between the show and the arena. This position is responsible for communications between vendors, promotors, and production managers as well as arena personnel. This position works closely with the Director of Private Events and Director of Event ProductionResponsibilities:

Serving as the main point of contact/liaison for private events and shows on behalf of the arena. Assists with the coordination of concerts and various events as assigned.

Place orders with various vendors to meet the needs of shows and other events, including ability to research and locate odd/hard to find items when needed.

Develop and maintain relationships with local vendors, various promoters and production managers.

Schedule and participate in advance calls with tour management as needed to prepare for needs specific to each show.

Assist in preparing and submitting documentation necessary for obtaining permits.

Assist the Director of Private Events as needed with private parties and functions.

Prepare detailed, accurate events notes respective to each event which are essential for all departments, including timing, staging, and master schedule of needs.

Prepare detailed, accurate post-event notes at the conclusion of each event to be distributed to all departments.

Work with ticket office to assist in setting up event needs for on sales.

Assist the Director of Events, Director of Private Events and Assistant Events Manager on various events as assigned by Director of Event Production.

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year experience coordinating arena/concert/special events in an arena environment.

Must display and maintain professionalism.

Must be a team player and work well with others.

Maintain composure in fast paced work environment.

Must work well under pressure, be able to problem solve and make quick, efficient decisions, providing direction to other departments as needed.

Must be diligent and accurate in note taking.

Must be a self-starter and work and able to work independently.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software, Adobe Acrobat and Outlook.

Assist other departments occasionally if/when needed.

Must be able to work extended hours, early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays.

Other duties as assigned.
