Special Education/Assistant Director (12 month position to begin in June 2024).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education OR a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field AND experience as a Special Education provider (Speech Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, School Counselor, or School Psychologist), and experience in a school setting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree in education, special education, or other education-related field.
Experience in a public and/or Montessori school setting.
Knowledge of and experience with the Arizona Department of Education policies and procedures.
Knowledge of and experience with IDEA laws.
Experience in an administrative or management role
DUTIES INCLUDE:
Assist the Executive Director in all functions of administration of the school
Implement requirements of the AZ Department of Education as relate to the operations of the charter school (including standardized testing, curriculum alignment, the Move on When Reading program, English Language Learners, and Special Education).
Assist the Executive Director with parent communication and student discipline.
Assist the Executive Director with all HR functions
Assist the Executive Director with updates to all school calendars and handbooks.
Oversees enrollment procedures for the preschool and charter school
Responsible for maintaining student and employee records
Oversees building maintenance and repairs
Other duties as assigned, depending on qualifications specific to the individual hired

Salary range $55,000 – $70,000 depending on experience.
