Assistant Manager, Discovery Southeast's bookstore and giftshop at the Mendenhall Glacier.
This is a seasonal (April-October), full-time position paying $18-20/hour.

Position overview
Under the supervision of the store manager, the assistant manager(s) will:
● Serve as shift supervisors, scheduling and directly overseeing staff
● Oversee restocking of items from the warehouse to the store
● Assist in maintenance and upkeep of the inventory database
This position requires standing for several hours at a time, as well as the ability to lift and move heavy boxes (30 lbs.) in and out of small spaces.
Location Description
The Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center is located 13 miles from downtown Juneau, and the nearest public transportation stop is about 1.5 miles from the store. Therefore, applicants should have reliable transportation arranged.

Salary & Benefits
The position is full-time seasonal from April 15- Oct 15. Salary is dependent upon experience ($18-20/hr). An end-of-season bonus will be awarded upon fulfillment of employment agreement. One day of paid sick leave can be earned per month worked. Additional paid sick leave may be granted for potential Covid exposure.
