Nordic Lawns is looking for a gardener for this season. We don't necessarily need a Certified Master Gardener, but do need someone with enough experience and knowledge to expertly discuss with clients their wants and needs. You must be able to talk the talk. For example; deadheading, hardening off, annual vs. perennial, watering & feeding requirements, sun vs. shade.
The right person for this position is well organized. Must be able to make and keep scheduled appointments. A personable and friendly attitude is highly desired.
This job entails calling customers to make appointments, scheduling a daily route, meeting with customers, spring bed cleanouts, shopping for plants/flowers, spring/summer planting, summer/fall maintenance, and fall bed prep. This is a full time position, but you make your own hours!
Job starts early May and continues into September/October depending on weather. Must have your own reliable transportation with insurance for use to and from the job sites. We will provide all the needed tools. Pay is based on a percentage for every billable hour we bill to the customer. A bonus is also accumulated all summer and will be paid mid-November if position requirements are fulfilled. This bonus equates to $4 per every hour worked all summer. $28.50 per hour plus bonus! For a possible combined of $32.50 per hour total compensation. Our best ambitious, organized and hardworking gardeners in the past have earned up to $26, 000 for the five month season.
