We are seeking motivated, enthusiastic Gardeners to join our team!
Boreal Bioscapes is a boutique garden and landscape service in Anchorage specializing in creative design, installation and maintenance. Our small, tight-knit team works closely with clients to create exceptional outdoor spaces.
You will spend the 2024 season working in some of Anchorage's most beautiful outdoor spaces with positive, likeminded individuals. As a member of our team, you will develop a broad skill set covering different aspects of horticulture and garden management, including:
Garden design
Organic and sustainable gardening practices
Edible landscaping
Organic pest control
Enhancing soil fertility
Ornamental pruning techniques
An ideal candidate is self-motivated, with excellent attention to detail. Successful candidates will be positive, respectful, have experience working in a nursery, as a gardener/landscaper or in a position where outdoor manual labor was required. You must also enjoy being physically active for 8 hours a day, and have daily access to a personal vehicle with a clean driving record. Extra points will be given to candidates who have education or direct on-the-job experience with horticulture, ornamental gardening or similar.
Boreal Bioscapes pays our Gardeners $21-$26/hour. We offer overtime pay at a rate of time and a half. We also offer a mileage reimbursement when using your personal vehicle to move between job sites.
We are looking for full-time team members who will join us from May through mid-October, although college students with a shorter window of availability are also encouraged to apply. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
