General Contractor in Alaska is seeking a Project Superintendent and Carpenters for work in rural Alaska. Most projects require being away from home for up 8 weeks at a time. We generally work 60 hour weeks on remote projects. Housing, food and ground transportation are provided at the work locations as well as RT airfare from Anchorage to the projects.
The right candidates will possess the following:
1. Minimum of 5 years as Construction Project Superintendent and/or 10 years as a journeyman carpenter in all aspects of Residential and Commercial Construction.
2. OSHA 10 training and current CPR and first Aid cards.
3. Superintendent will need to be proficient in typing and working with Office 365.
4. Have a clean criminal record and able to pass a Federal Background Check.
5. Have a positive/safe and good attitude and able to work well in and around occupied and functioning offices and facilities.
6. Must be able to read blueprint and accurately take off construction materials.
7. Experience with site work, concrete foundations and slabs, rough framing, metal stud framing, all types of interior and exterior finishes as well as siding and roofing.
8. Be in good health, able to perform physically demanding work in any weather and pass a
drug test.
9. Must be able to travel and work well in Rural Alaska Communities.
10. Maintain clean and orderly job-sites
11. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
12. Manage materials and supplies as necessary to facilitate the efficient progression of work on the job.
