This position is for the Assistant Store Manager to help lead store financial stewardship, customer service, merchandising, food safety, work safety, communication, hiring, training, and performance management. Ensures the store provides an exceptional customer shopping experience, with the highest level of service and product knowledge. Promotes a positive and progressive work environment.
Duties:
o Project and meet sales goals
o Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
o Propose innovative ideas to increase market share
o Write orders and receive freight
o Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control
o Formulate pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales; studying trends
o Update colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues
o Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs
o Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances, etc.)
o Ability to be on call as needed
o Additional store manager duties as needed
Skills:
o Previous grocery/retail store experience
o Must be trustworthy
o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs

o Ability to be self-motivated and be able to work in a team environment setting
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
o Valid driver’s license record
Compensation:
o $70,000.00 Annual Salary or DOE
o Two weeks paid vacation per year
