Job Summary
The Clay Camp Counselors will work closely with the Clay Camp Instructors, other instructors, and the TC team at large to deliver fun and engaging camp sessions centered on working with clay! The Clay Camp Counselor will be responsible for leading all aspects of Clay Camp outside of pottery lesson instruction. This includes administrative duties, leading campers to ensure they have fun and stay safe, interfacing with parents, and other operational duties. People who love working with kids in a collaborative and creative environment will love this job!
Duties/Responsibilities:
Counselors will be working with groups of 10 campers between the ages of 9 and 16 years old and will be expected to:
Supervise campers between checkin and check out and oversee all administrative duties
Deliver and refine engaging programming to supplement pottery instruction
Maintain an orderly, safe, fun, and clean work environment,
Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth overall studio operations,
Communicate with camper parents and internal teams as needed
Experience & Qualifications
1-2 years of experience in working with kids in an educational or camp setting. Art experience is preferred, but not required.
Track record of proactively implementing changes to drive continuous improvement in a workplace environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace Suite.
Ability to stay organized and composed in a fast paced environment
18 years old or older
Current CPR Certification preferred
Ability to lift 50 pounds
This is a summer job that starts in late May and ends in Early August. Start and end dates are somewhat flexible.
