About the Position: This position serves as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist for the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command. This position will be filled as a temporary appointment. Responsibilities Perform the full range of supervisory functions while planning and carrying out program and procedural development and administrative functions. Serve as a senior advisor providing interpretive technical advisory services and analysis of regulations, rules and policies. Establish and maintain liaison with foreign government personnel involved in the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command (USASAC) program. Provide new approaches, new program emphasis, and new or improved guidance after studying operations, administrative decisions and questions emanating from the field. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing technical advice on total package fielding of equipment, training, and other services related to the foreign military sales program; carrying out procedural development and administrative functions; direct staff in performing logistics management and foreign military sales functions; advise, counsel, and instruct employees on work to be performed; and identify developmental training needs of subordinates. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.
