OverviewElement has an opportunity for a Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team. This individual will perform qualification testing and measurement tasks (mechanical/electrical) per approved test plans for components for nuclear facilities and/or to support other testing requirements. Technician will work with customer provided test specimens, electrical control systems, and high pressure steam.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities: Test Setup - Read specifications from technical documents (i.e. test plans/procedures), identify/prepare test equipment Perform Testing - Monitor tests per specifications/procedures; interact with customer if needed; troubleshoot; document all pertinent data Data Processing – Verify, review and document all pertinent data after testing; finalize data and provide to project engineer Lab Maintenance/Post-test Breakdown – Physically remove test items; maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keeping calibrated instruments current and organizing supplies Perform other duties as neededSkills / QualificationsSkills/Qualifications: HS diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomed Years of experience: 3-6 years Understanding of routine electrical and mechanical operations Knowledge of Oscilloscopes and other data collection instruments Knowledge of circuitry design, troubleshooting, safety practices and wiring Control systems knowledge and troubleshooting is preferred Must be able to use standard instrumentation, i.e. temperature probes, thermocouples, pressure transducers and accelerometers Basic usage of Microsoft Office suite and other computer skillsCompany OverviewElement is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
