Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-level or Senior Integrated Planning and Scheduling Specialist to join the Space Launch System (SLS) team in Huntsville, AL.This individual will need to have strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills. This position requires collaboration between multiple sites and with multiple technical disciplines. Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including, Mid-level and Senior Integrated Planning and Scheduling Specialists.Position Responsibilities:
Develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains, an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements
Produces metrics for plans and schedules for moderately complex projects, programs, and change activities across the lifecycle of a program
Performs studies/analysis and planning efforts, within and/or across programs/projects, organizations or business units to determine impacts, constraints, and plans involving product development, production rates, production development activities, process improvement, or program initiatives
Develops the Integrated Master Plan, schedule and supports change incorporation plans related to integrated scheduling products
Performs integration of program plans and schedules, horizontally and vertically, across company functional, product groups, suppliers and partners of moderate complexity
Identifies, analyzes and reports performance variances to management
Works with customers to develop performance recovery plans and incorporates recovery plans where appropriate
Provides training and mentoring to lower level employees
This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facilityThis position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.This position requires the ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
1+ years’ experience in managing complex integrated schedules or projects
Experience developing and maintaining integrated resource-loaded project schedules, including the use of project management tools and software such as MS Project, Milestones, Open Plan Professional, etc.
1+ years’ experience creating project schedules which identify time frames for key project milestones
1+ years’ experience collecting and analyzing data and generating metrics reports
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience interfacing with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA)
Experience performing Schedule Executability Risk Assessments and preparing, analyzing and reporting recommendations to Program Senior Leadership re: establishment and management of Schedule Risk Mitigation (i.e., Schedule Margin)
Strong communication skills including executive interaction as well as cross functional teams
1+ years’ experience working with the planning & scheduling processes, cost analysis, and EVMS
1+ years’ experience working on a development program with critical path and schedule risk assessment requirements
Experience with scheduling risk analysis/Boeing Opportunities Risk Issue System (BORIS)
Experience with the Baseline Management Processes
5 or more years’ of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
