As a Chemical Operator Apprentice in our Huntsville, AL Emissions Catalysts Site, you will…Make an impact on the world with a fundamental focus on sustainability. As a Chemical Operator Apprentice, you will be a part of a team which manufactures emissions catalysts for a variety of mobile and stationary source applications and more! You will work hands-on in our Huntsville, AL emissions catalysts site learning to:

Desire to work collaboratively on a team, while also making a strong individual contribution.

Follows work instructions, procedures and product specifications; adds specified amounts of raw materials into vessels or blending tanks; sets valves to feed liquid and solid materials through equipment units.

Observes chemical reactions; monitors gauges, samples and data recorders; and receives notification from analytical laboratory, supervisor, or other workers to make specified operating adjustments.

Qualifications:

High school Diploma or GED (those not possessing a Diploma or GED will be required to obtain one (with tuition assistance available from BASF) before moving to any other role at BASF)

Willing to work in a manufacturing environment and lift 45lbs

Ability to work 12hr shifts (day OR night including weekends and holidays)

Willing to enroll in a 12-month Process Technology certificate program at Calhoun Community College
