DescriptionSAIC has an opening for an Aviation and Mission Systems Intern to support onsite at Redstone Arsenal/Huntsville, Alabama.Job Description:
Limited use and/or application of technical principles, theories, and concepts.
Receives assignments in the form of specific tasks for the work to be completed.
Work is reviewed by management to measure meeting objectives and schedules.
Supports preparation of detail design.
Support development with embedded software for military systems.
FOCUS AREAS:
Software Engineering – support full software life cycle development (requirements analysis, design, code, integration, test, documentation and support) following CMMI processes for military systems
Cyber/Cloud Engineering – support and deliver cloud solutions using a highly automated, cloud-hosted toolset; agile practices; and DevSecOps production chains to rapidly build, test, and deploy
Test Engineering - assist with static and dynamic design and analysis of mechanical systems, equipment and packages
QualificationsREQUIRED EDUCATION:
Currently enrolled in a STEM or technical degree path and two (2) years of college or work related experience
REQUIRED SKILLS :
Proficiency in basic computer skills, virtual meeting, and using cloud based tools
Solid work experience with customers/resolving issues while meeting schedule requirements
Must possess good oral and written communications skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Must be motivated, adaptable, and flexible
Excellent organizational and follow-up skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to encourage, inspire, and participate in teamwork
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance (US Citizenship). Some programs may allow for an Intern to start without clearance (active clearance preferred)
