Disbursement Manager

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Disbursement Manager in Birmingham, Alabama. In this role, you will be supervising disbursement clerks, managing accounts payable processes, and working both on-site and remotely as needed.Responsibilities: Oversee 2-3 disbursement clerks to confirm prompt and precise disbursement processing Initiate ACH & Wire transfers Handle check processing as requested by diverse departments Execute the AP report to verify no alterations in batches Investigate and rectify discrepancies and pursue checks returned because of wrong address Apply time management abilities to determine a routine schedule for regular tasks and special projects Administer the processing procedure of 1099's.Requirements Extensive experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable accounting functions Proficiency in accounting software systems Familiarity with data processing and check processing Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies Strong skills in Microsoft Excel Experience with cash disbursements and disbursement Knowledge of 1099s Familiarity with wire transfer and wire requests Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive financial information Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
