PM Shift Manager

Below is a brief outline of expectations for the PM Supervisor at Overnight Parts Alliance. Operations at OPA are fluid. Things are always changing and no day is ever the same as the last. Potential candidate must be extremely flexible and able to analyze problems quickly, make decisions and handle issues as they arise. Candidate must be able to remain on their feet and active for long periods of time. Must be over 25, have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a DOT Health card. Must also be able to lift up to 50lbs.

1. Supervise ALL warehouse activities relating to evening parts distribution.

a. 2nd Shift – BE PROACTIVE

i. Send Drivers to local dealerships where we pick up parts.

ii. Confirm that all returns for dealers are taken to their respective dealerships.

iii. Monitor the unloading and then reloading of trucks.

1. All parts must be handled carefully to minimize damage.

2. All parts must be loaded efficiently to maximize space in trucks to avoid blowouts whenever possible.

3. All parts must be placed in correct bins/trucks to ensure they arrive at their correct locations.

b. 3rd Shift

i. Distribute trucks equally among 3rd shift loaders.

ii. Make sure proper trucks are available for each route.

iii. Load trucks in case of loader absence.

2. Ensure all Evening Paperwork is completed by Evening Administrator.

a. All redelivers & recollects completed.

b. Print return labels

c. Generate and print daily Manifest.

d. Assemble daily packets that contain manifest, return forms and any other paperwork needed for the route.

e. Make sure the bags for each hub are assembled and in the correct bin.

3. Assist with any phone calls and emails from Route Salesmen, Customer Service Reps, and customers and handle any problems or issues in a timely manner.

a. Correct any invoice mistakes (COD vs. non COD)

b. Collect on bad checks.

c. Resolve any pick-up issues.

d. Effectively resolve any dealer issues or questions.

4. Supervise the activities of ALL (Drivers and/or Warehouse Staff) afternoon OPA employees and ensure all OPA policies and procedures are followed.

Any misconduct or violation of OPA policies or procedures should be dealt with immediately and reported to the Operations Manager.

5. Facilitate warehouse sanitation.

All garbage cans are empted a minimum of twice weekly.

Warehouse and loading dock floors are kept clean of paper, dirt, and debris.

6. Make sure all OPA equipment and parts are not stolen, misallocated, or damaged.

7. Meet with the Operations Manager on an ongoing basis to discuss issues and problems and to offer suggestions to help OPA run more effectively and efficiently.
