Grow. with us.Who we're looking forToyota’s Powertrain Production Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Engineer.The primary responsibility of this role is to execute implementation of North American strategies related to production line process planning, equipment specification and confirmation, installation, launch and cost reduction effortsThe person in this role will support the Powertrain Production Engineering department's objective to support on-time and smooth launch of new engine projects.What you’ll be doing

Plan and implement production preparation strategy to achieve safety, quality and cost targets including, schedule development, process planning, equipment planning, installation and confirmation trials for machining powertrain components and/or powertrain assembly

Provide technical assistance to plant production, maintenance and engineering groups.

Organize and guide cross functional activity including completing problem solving with minimal assistance from management.

Visualize activity plan, and schedule to facilitate quick consensus building and secure necessary aid of key activity.

What you bring

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or similar technical field or 5 years of automotive manufacturing experience related to maintenance or engineering

Toyota experience (as a Team Member or Contractor)

Experience in process engineering, including long and short term schedule and budget management

Planning and support for mass production lines greater than 9,000 unit capacity per month

Project management experience for both short term (weekly) and long term (12-24 months ) project scope

Added bonus if you have

Planning or mass production experience, including specification, trial and install of manufacturing equipment

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

CNC programming experience

PLC programming experience

Cutting tool experience including knowledge of cutting conditions, tool geometry and failure modes

Assembly line machine Programming/ Set-up/ Troubleshooting experience

Direct experience identifying and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment process issues, including shop floor experience

Powertrain, Engine or Assembly manufacturing experience

Experience with nut runners, press, metal removal, part function tester and other similar manufacturing processes
