I will be available from October 2025, thank you for reading:
I am a hard-working, detail-oriented go-getter who loves the outdoors and is looking for entry level ranch hand work. I prefer a housing accompaniment but am willing to consider other options to that effect.
I am willing to do any ranch hand work anywhere in Wyoming for any pay, I just want to see if it is the career for me and to have the specific experience.
My picture-perfect state assistant ranger job on the ocean in Oregon is coming to an end in October 2025 when the park will close for major renovations for one year, and I will need work at that time. I have worked one wildland fire as a WFFT2 and have worked in county assessor, industrial, and food service positions (prior to Oregon) primarily.
I could look for another park ranger job but would really like to try my hand at this career field for a season, even if it’s a tough time of year to start. What I lack in experience I make up for by being a fast learner and in not stopping until the job is done.
I also love animals and ranches and have dreamed of such a position in my entire life and will take lower pay in exchange for my lack of experience.
I have a personal connection to Wyoming for a variety of reasons (the town of Wamsutter genuinely may have saved my life on the highway in 2023! It’s a long story) and would like to pick this state specifically for that reason, as well as the weather, which I thrive in (I love cold and wind).
Please do consider me as you’ll find no more eager a candidate for a ranch position than myself. I’m willing to do all of the chores that no one else wants to do so long as I, for example,
get a bit of experience in wrangling if possible. If not, that is completely fine, but obviously I do hope to receive additional skills than being on-site at the ranch itself, again if possible.
Thank you for your time in reading this post. Serious inquiries from family-owned ranches preferred.
