Responsibilities:
- Measure and combine ingredients using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to produce a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies
- Decorate cakes and pastries with icing, glazes, and other toppings
- Follow recipes and test ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety, quality and consistency standards
- Design, improve and test recipes
- Monitor oven temperatures and adjust baking times as needed
- Greet and serve customers, answering questions, making recommendations, accepting orders and payments, and providing exceptional customer service
- Manage production timelines to ensure that displays remain well stocked and that special orders and deliveries are fulfilled accurately and on time
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of baking supplies, keeping accurate records related to deliveries, inventory, and production levels
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in the kitchen, cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next activity or shift
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely customer service and efficient food production
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a baker in the food industry or culinary training preferred
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently produce high-quality baked goods
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Salary: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
