Are you ready to make a different in people's lives?The Nurse Manager leads nursing practice and patient care operations in collaboration with two Patient Care Supervisors and is accountable to the Nursing Director. Including management of nursing practice, quality and safety, regulatory compliance, finance and other operational accountabilities.Our Medical Surgical Unit has 32 beds and capability to provide telemetry. Our RNs are trained to care for patients with a variety of medical and surgical (post-op) needs.This is a full-time exempt position. Check out more of our benefits information here: www.fairview.org/noncontractResponsibilities Job DescriptionJob Expectations:· Leads day-to-day operations of assigned area(s) to ensure support of the mission, vision, values and goals of the organization.· Plans, coordinates and evaluates patient care activities including staffing, resource management, quality and safety, regulatory compliance, and financial management.· Runs equipment inventory and supply management within operational budget.· Accountable for capacity management to promote patient flow.· Develops, implements, monitors and evaluates the quality improvement initiatives.· Responsible for human resources management to achieve quality service and positive employee relations.· Ensures compliance with organizational policies and procedures.· Advocates for patient, family and staff needs.· Drive improvement activities that promote patient centered care and positive customer experience.· In partnership the Nursing Practice and Education team assure that evidence based/standard process clinical care is being delivered.· Ensures staff compliance in areas of job requirements, education and clinical competency.· Works with Nurse Director to establish goals and objectives.· Promotes a culture of high employee engagement, professional development, nursing education and research.· Partners with interprofessional team members across the continuum of care to achieve organizational outcomes.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:RequiredEducation· Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. If Bachelor’s degree is not in nursing must have a Master’s degree is nursingExperience· Four Years nursing experience, at least two of which is in a formal or informal (charge, lead, preceptor) leadership role.License/Certification/Registration· Licensed Registered Nurse.
