ssential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)
Dispatch and maintain workflow in shop
Hiring & onboarding of new advisors & technicians
Maintaining and exceeding service department performance metrics
Maintain a CSI at or above District CSI levels
Create and manage coupons and other service marketing promotions
Monitor expenses
Set, monitor and maintain standards of performance for employees
Answer phone calls to Service Dept.
10% - Manage service-related issues/Customer Service
OSHA, DEEP, and shop, lift, and tank inspections
Building and grounds maintenance
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Service Manager’s supervisory responsibilities include making hiring recommendations; making final hiring decisions; instructing and training in work methods; planning, scheduling and assigning work; checking and approving work; conducting performance evaluations; recommending salary adjustments; making effective recommendations regarding promotions, making final decisions on promotions; determining disciplinary actions regarding unsatisfactory employees; and making final decision to terminate unsatisfactory employees.
Minimum Qualification Standards:
Associate’s degree in Business, Automotive technology certificate
1-3 years’ experience in customer service and service advisor
Valid State driver's license
Equivalent combinations of education and work experience will be considered.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Computer proficiency including word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, and generating reports using standard software applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and details simultaneously.
Strong written and oral communication skills to interact with customers, vendors and co-workers in a professional and helpful manner in person or via phone or written correspondence.
Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-term goals
Ability to work productively in a fast paced, stressful environment.
Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative in meeting sales and revenue goals.
Leadership proficiency.
Equipment, Machines And Software Used:
This position requires the regular use of a computer, printer, copier, fax machine, telephone, scanner, calculator, power tools, hand tools, pallet jack.
Computer Software: Microsoft Office to include Word, Outlook, Excel. Other programs such as Adobe Acrobat.
Safety Equipment: Safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands to finger, grasp, handle or feel, push, pull, reach, crouch, bend, or kneel,
Close mental and visual attention is required for controlling machines or processes at a rapid pace requiring close coordination and fine adjustment.
Physical Exertion:
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
