We are looking for a professional, high-energy Bartender with excellent communication skills to serve classical cocktails and exciting new beverages to our guests. The Bartender will greet guests, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages and food. You will also upsell items, assist with the creation of recipes, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and handle basic cleaning duties.
To succeed as a Bartender, you should have an engaging and friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable.
Bartender Responsibilities
- Welcoming guests, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, informing guests about new beverages, specials, and taking drink orders.
- Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers.
- Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol.
- Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure bars and tables are well-stocked.
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Adhering to all Wyoming food safety and alcohol service regulations.
- Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.
- Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.
- Assist in developing new cocktail recipes.
Skills and Experience
- Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance.
- Eye for detail and understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of standard drink recipes, spirits, wine, and beer
- Understanding of classes of alcohol, different glasses, brand names, and garnishments
- Working knowledge of bar equipment and how it is used
- Strong task and time management abilities.
- Meets state minimum age to serve alcohol & Wyoming Alcohol Training Certification
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic math, computer, and cash-handling skills
- Ability to stand, walk, bend for extended periods, and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
- Additional education, training, certificates, or experience may be required.
- High School Diploma preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
