Performs a variety of human resources duties, in compliance with Department of Labor (DOL) and Management & Training Corporation (MTC) directives.
Associate's degree and one year related experience or three years related experience. Experience working with youth, excellent written and verbal communication and computer proficiency required. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Maintain calendar and schedule appointments of all human resources functions. Maintain employee documentation. Coordinate, maintain and track leave of absences including family medical leave act (FMLA). Maintain accurate open requisition and reports control log for personnel. Monitor 180-day probation evaluations and employee performance appraisal (EPA). Provide follow-up correspondence to applicants and agencies regarding employment status. Assist with the advertisement of all open/available positions on center with job bid program, state job service office, local newspaper advertising and other affirmative action sources. Ensure all new hire information, benefits and other personnel changes are entered into the computer and proper notification forwarded to payroll and ensure adequate and up-to-date personnel records are maintained. Enter all staff training into the computer; maintain current and accurate staff training records. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports. Respond to unemployment claims, hearings and employment verification requests. Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations. Provide positive, quality customer services to students, staff and other center customers.
