To learn more, visit www.sharecare.com .Job Summary:The Benefits & Leave Administrator is responsible for executing day-to-day operations of group benefits programs (group health plans and short-term or long-term disability plans., dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, worker’s compensation, life insurance, accident plan, health savings account plan, flexible spending account plans, retirement plans, Company wellness plans, etc.) This role will work with the Benefits Manager and benefit analyst(s) to manage enrollments, annual renewals, and the delivery of benefits to employees. This role will also oversee and administer all leave requests and accommodations, including those requiring specialized attention, such as those arising under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), state and local leave laws, and short-term or long-term disability plans. The Benefits & Leave Administrator position requires excellent customer service and communication skills.Essential Functions:

Serves as a key contact for benefit plan vendors and third-party administrators.

Coordinate transfer of data to external and internal contacts for services, premiums and plan administration.

Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.

Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees.

Coordinate daily benefits processing with the benefits team

Handle enrollments, COBRA, terminations, status changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, and worker’s compensation claims.

Oversee maintenance of employee benefit files, maintain group benefits database, and updated employee payroll records.

Provide customer service support to internal and external customers.

Assist Benefits Manager in provide training and support to all colleagues and the HR team.

Manage and track benefit adjustments for biweekly payroll processing.

Manage and execute the leave of absence process for all colleagues and the collection of benefit premiums, including the Paid Maternity Leave program.

Oversees the return-to-work process for employees returning from extended FMLA, workers’ compensation, or other leave(s).

Drafts and/or recommends revisions to company leave policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Maintains complete and accurate records of leave and accommodation requests in accordance with specified legal requirements and documentation of best practices.

Preserves confidentiality of employee medical documentation and files.

Maintains knowledge of all applicable leave and accommodation laws including the FMLA, ADA, and state and local laws.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in human resource management or related field preferred.

3+ years of related benefits experience.

2+ years of related leave administration experience

Completion of specialized certification or training on FMLA/leave administration a plus.

Extensive knowledge of the leave requirements and other legal protections afforded by the FMLA, ADA, and other applicable laws.

SHRM-CP, PHR, or CEBS professional designation preferred.

Workday experience preferred

Excellent verbal and written skills.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Effective planning and priority setting.

Ability to manage several projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.

Strong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of plan designs.

Knowledge of benefits contract language.

Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs, including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, worker’s compensation, and Medicare.
