Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and dependable entry-level millwright helper to assist with dismantling paper mill equipment, specifically PM16.
This involves:
-Disassembling key components like presses, rolls, and forming fabrics.
-Preparing and securing parts for shipment.
-Managing operations in a space-constrained environment with a focus on safety and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist senior millwrights and technicians in dismantling PM16 equipment by providing tools, materials, and hands-on support.
Perform basic tasks such as cleaning, organizing, and labeling dismantled parts.
Follow instructions to safely handle tools, equipment, and components during dismantling.
Help set up and maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Learn and apply basic mechanical skills under the guidance of experienced team members.
Participate in lifting and rigging tasks, working closely with the team to move heavy machinery and parts.
Conduct basic inspections of tools and report any issues to the supervisor.
Requirements:
Willingness to learn and work in an industrial environment; no prior experience required, but familiarity with industrial or mechanical work is a plus.
Basic understanding of safety procedures and a strong commitment to following them.
Physical ability to work in a demanding environment and lift heavy objects as needed.
Positive attitude, teamwork skills, and a willingness to take direction.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
There are two shift Options:
Single Shift:
11 hours/day, 6 days/week
Monday to Saturday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Two Shifts (5 days/week):
- Shift 1: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Shift 2: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Saturday and Sunday off
Employment Type: Contract, or full-time (depending on project needs)
Location: Wisconsin Rapids (Relocation support provided, including housing assistance for eligible candidates)
