Norms Painting Service is a Wausau Based Painting business serving North central Wisconsin. Our mission is to provide clients with an aesthetically pleasing finish in a timely manner.
Responsible for preparing and painting interior, exterior surfaces within apartment units, including walls, ceilings, trim, doors, by cleaning, patching imperfections, applying primer, and meticulously applying paint to achieve a clean and aesthetically pleasing finish.
Key Responsibilities:
Surface Preparation:
Clean walls and ceilings to remove dirt, dust, and debris.
Fill cracks, holes, and imperfections with caulk or patching compound.
Sand rough surfaces to create a smooth base for paint.
Apply masking tape to protect trim, floors, and other surfaces.
Painting Application:
Mix paint to achieve desired color and consistency according to specifications.
Apply primer to surfaces as needed to enhance paint adhesion.
Apply paint using paint stick, paint roller, brushes, and sprayers, ensuring even coverage and smooth finish.
Perform touch-ups and spot repairs as necessary.
Job Site Management:
Maintain a clean work area, including proper disposal of paint cans and debris.
Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Physical Ability: Ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, reach overhead, and work in confined spaces.
Attention to Detail: Precise application of paint to achieve clean lines and consistent coverage.
Drywall repair- ideal but not required.
Color Matching Skills: Accurately mixing paint to achieve desired colors.
Hand Tool Proficiency: Skilled use of brushes, rollers, sprayers, scrapers, and other painting tools.
Experience: Prior experience in residential painting, particularly in apartment complexes, is preferred.
