PRODUCTION SPECIALIST
We are hiring for our appetizer plant in Plover, WI. This site specializes in the production of a wide variety of specialty appetizer products including mozzarella sticks, cheese curds, and other appetizers. The Plover Appetizer plant employs more than 250 employees, there are many opportunities to advance and grow while making fun food!
Location: Plover, WI
Starting pay: $21.84 per hour
Plus $1.75 shift differential for night shift
Schedule: 2-2-3 schedule (12-hour shifts, days or nights); Friday to Sunday every other week, with 2 days on and 2 days off.
Position Summary:
The Production Specialist is a frontline employee responsible for ensuring good manufacturing practices are followed to safeguard the quality of product so that our customer receive the highest quality possible! This person could have various tasks on our production lines from drilling, filling, and sorting to inspecting product and/ or packaging the product.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
1 to 6 months manufacturing experience is a PLUS!
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions both written and oral as well as read and interpret schedules related to production/ product schedules and line changeovers.
Ability to comprehend and communicate in Basic English and interact with all levels of the organization. Must be able to enter data into a computer.
Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours per shift and lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
Physical Demands
Constant: Use and movement of hands and standing on a regularly scheduled shift.
Frequently: Bending, grasping of hands, and reaching for up to 3-6 hours daily.
Occasionally: Walking, bending at the waist, squatting, kneeling, and twisting at the neck and waist, pushing, and pulling for up to 8 hours a day.
