I'm a successful local construction contractor who's been in the business for 40 years in Central Wisconsin.
I'm looking for an individual who is honest, dependable and prompt to assist me in providing my clients with the quality they have come to expect. Most of my jobs are in the Wausau area.
For that reason, you should live locally.
These are projects for my mostly repeat customers or referrals from them. I try to schedule indoor work for when it is cold or rainy.
The ideal person would be quick to learn and prioritize safety. Attention to detail and the ability to follow directions are important. A pleasant attitude is required. As is reliable transportation
Some days, the project is easy. Other days require a bit more effort. Pride in your work will make almost all of it fun. I don't ask anyone on my crew to do a job that I won't do.
I insist on promptness and being able to depend on you showing up to work as scheduled.
I will teach you what you need to become proficient in skills ranging from roofing to foundation work and everything in between.
I don't normally work weekends or insist on overtime. I am flexible if you need time off as long as it isn't a surprise and doesn't become a habit.
The pay is negotiable depending on what you bring to the table. We can talk about that.
I'd prefer a good hard worker, who can be depended on, over someone who thinks they already know everything.
This job doesn't necessarily require advanced construction skills at the time of hire.
Many times you'd hold something for me, brace something or carry items to the work area. Those who do have advanced skills, and the ability to work independently, will achieve higher financial incentives.
I will provide the tools and teach you the skills to safely use them when the time comes.
I'm an equal opportunity kind of guy. You can be of either gender and what you do on your personal time won't concern me unless it is criminal in nature. I don't care what color skin you were born with. You need to be in the USA legally.
Contact me by email and tell me a bit about you.
Thank you.
