I am looking to find someone to help my wife with my daily care . I am a quadriplegic , 72 years old , fully cognizant and easy going . We currently have 7 Employees who work for us so you would fall into the schedule rotation . The work is not difficult but we would like to get another person in the rotation to allow for days off and other scheduling conflicts . I use a lift for all transfers . We have a ceiling lift for transfers in the bedroom or bathroom and a hover lift for all other transfers . There are usually 2 of you working at a time . So you’re rarely by yourself . Currently 2 people come in at 8AM. They get me out of bed , on the toilet , then in the shower chair and in the shower , wash me then dry me, then into bed and dress me . After I’m dressed they put me in my wheelchair and take me out to the sun room and feed me breakfast. After breakfast I go on my computer for the rest of the morning . About 10AM one of the caregivers leaves and the other one stays . Around 11:30AM they feed me lunch and about noon another caregiver comes in and they transfer me into bed. Once I am in bed one of the caregivers leaves and the other one stays for another hour or two depending on the day and what my wife is doing . I stay in bed until around 5PM when a caregiver comes in and transfers me with my wife’s help into my recliner. I stay in my recliner until about 9 or 9:30PM when 2 caregivers come in to get me ready for bed . About 10PM they get me out of the recliner , then on the toilet and then in to bed where they finish getting me ready for bed. They’re usually done around 10:30PM. At that time the caregivers leave and my wife takes over for the night . If You’re interested please email me with your name and phone number .
