We currently have one part time shift and one full time shift available.
Hours are scheduled and consist of both AM and PM hours.
Every other weekend is required.
Some (scheduled) double shifts may also be required at this time.
Flexibility is a must.
Shift hours are as follows:
AM= 6 A.M. – 2 P.M.
PM = 2 P.M.- 9 P.M.
DOUBLES= 6 A.M. – 9 P.M.
Scheduling will be further explained upon inquiry.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
-must exhibit professionalism, positive attitude, and good attendance.
-Must be dependable and accountable for hours scheduled or picked up.
-Must be willing to pick up or swap shifts at times, in the event of staffing issues, illness, or
emergencies.
-Must work independently, but together as a team with one common goal; Outstanding
care for the client at all times.
-Healthcare attire (scrubs) and/or uniforms are not required, but a dress code will be
enforced. Caregivers are to come to work with a professional, neat, and clean appearance.
-Experience in healthcare is also required.
Experience is preferred in the following areas;
+geriatrics- short term and/or long term care as a C.N.A. or P.C.W.
+providing care to individuals with memory impairment or dementia.
+Caring for individuals in their home.
+practicing safety and standard precautions to prevent client from becoming injured and/or
contracting outside illnesses.
+positive, appropriate, and friendly interaction with elderly population and individuals with
dementia.
+medication administration. (Oral and topical)
+training in ambulating and transferring safely with use of assistive devices such as a gait
belt and appropriate footwear.
+note taking/charting, reporting, and recording intake and output.
+ obtaining vitals correctly and accurately.
DUTIES AND EXPECTATIONS:
Assisting client with personal needs and activities of daily living.
This includes assisting the client 1:1 with all of the following;
Dressing
Grooming
Hygiene
Toileting
Transferring
Ambulating
Exercise and range of motion
Time keeping and following schedules
Reminders
Household duties such as watering plants and filling bird feeders.
You will also be required to do the following based on times and schedules;
Light cleaning and housekeeping
Laundry
Cooking and meal preparation
Administer medications (oral)
Provide the client with hydration regularly.
Provide the client with conversation or activities.
