Job Title: Field Service TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Field Service Technician will be traveling 70-80% of their time, typically leaving on Monday and returning on Friday, with rare weekend stays. The primary responsibility is the startup and commissioning of equipment, including network setup in plants, industrial networking, and PLC and HMI programming for water systems. The role involves ensuring proper operation and troubleshooting any issues. The equipment is primarily pre-programmed and built, with the technician supporting formal setup and installation, as well as making minor programming changes or modifications. Additional programming projects may be available for those with strong programming skills. When not traveling, the technician can work remotely or optionally onsite in Waunakee, Wisconsin.Responsibilities
Travel 70-80% of the time for equipment startup and commissioning.
Set up networks in plants and handle industrial networking.
Program PLCs and HMIs for water systems.
Ensure proper operation of equipment and troubleshoot issues.
Support formal setup and installation of pre-programmed equipment.
Make minor programming changes or modifications as needed.
Optionally support additional programming projects.

Work EnvironmentThis role involves working with a system integrator for municipalities and wastewater, as well as electrical contracting for suppliers. The team supports building equipment in a UL panel shop in Minnesota and public bids for municipal projects with engineering design processes. The focus is on process controls and automation for wastewater plants or city water systems, creating control panels, motor control centers, setting up networks in plants, industrial networks, PLC and HMI programming, and radio telemetry networks. The technician will receive a company vehicle equipped with necessary tools, along with a per-diem for meals and hotels, a company credit card, and a gas card.
