Rating/Claims System AnalystLocations: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations listed here; Indianapolis, IN; Mason, OH; Atlanta, GA; Louisville, KY or Waukesha, WI.The Rating/Claims System Analyst is responsible for providing support, configuration, design, testing and implementation for ratings or claims systems.How you will make an Impact:
Works with business owners to identify and analyze requirements and processes with Information Technology and the vendor to ensure quality and timeliness of systems/project deliverables.
Configures new designs/updates in the system.
Monitors system and business functionality and performance.
Coordinates problem resolution with development and/or product vendors.
Analyzes, develops and validates data.
Analyzes complex end user needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs.
Develops project plans and identifies and coordinates resources, involving those outside the unit.
Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing.
Acts as a resource to users of the software to address questions/issues.
May provide direction and guidance to team members and serves as an expert for the team.
Identifies, creates, and executes the appropriate Test Assets (plans, cases, scripts, and metrics) to assure the developed application conforms to requirements and design.
Coordinates/executes testing across multiple testing phases, including SIT, UAT, and Regression.
Defines appropriate testing methods to employ to assure developed application conforms to requirements and design.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Minimum Requirements:Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 2 years systems analyst or business analyst experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
Strong MS Office skills, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS-Access
Insurance Knowledge of Health, Life & Accident
Knowledge of WellPoint enterprise rating tools
Programming skills- (SQL, JavaScript, Oracle, .NET)
Agile experience strongly preferred.
Ability to translate basic business needs into application software requirements.
Demonstrated ability to perform and manage test execution activities.
Possess strong analytical skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and internal and/or external customers.
