Description Robert Half is looking for a Director of Finance to join a well-respected company. The director of finance must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills in order to be a part of the management team. Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance
Oversee insurance and risk management
Manage the operating procedures of the department, including short- and long-range goals, objectives, and policies- Supervise all operations of the finance and accounting department
Direct all financial reporting preparation
Develop financial analysis prior to contract negotiations and product investment decisions
Analyze and monitor forecasting and budgeting models
Work with department managers to develop five-year business plans
Compare monthly operating results against budget
Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives
Direct, review, and prepare budget management and financial planning functions
Manage the composition of financial outlooks and financial forecasts
Hire, train, and retain finance staff
Adhere to local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements

10+ years of finance and accounting experience
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
Experience with multiple accounting and financial reporting systems
Prior experience with finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Expert Microsoft Excel skills required
MBA or CPA is preferred
